VOICETHREAD

Voice Thread is a great tool to communicate and collaborate with! I think it's a really great tool for numerous individuals to share ideas with. Voice Thread allows you to start discussions by posting slideshows and allowing others to comment on it. But Voice Thread adds a twist to this, you can comment on it by using other methods other than the traditional text method. This includes both voice and video communication. I find this really useful because sometimes it is much easier to use a video or audio to communicate something than to type it out. I think I could very easily add this to my PLE as a Collaborating and Socializing tool. This is because if I am working on a group project and I wanted others to add ideas or comment on it, I can share the link to my Video Thread and they can easily communicate their thoughts on it verbally no matter where they are. This means we can have group projects without actually meeting up! So where I think Video Thread really shines is convenience, there are many tools people can use to communicate but Video Thread is one of the few that allows you to communicate through a medium of your choice. I think the digital world as advanced so far that we have so many options now in terms of how we can communicate with others and how we can advance our academic learning. Voice Thread is a great example of this and I plan to take full advantage of it in terms of my academic learning.
